Icchu Collection - Red-Laced Kabuto Helmet with Long Kuwagata Crest
* As each item is handmade, the design and colour may vary slightly. * Colours may appear different from the actual product depending on your display or monitor.
Vivid red lacing, a long kuwagata crest, and fukikaeshi side guards decorated with a hanabishi motif define this classic kabuto helmet display. Odoshi is the traditional technique of binding individual armor scales with cord or leather, and the brilliant red cords give the piece a bold, celebratory character. Crafted by master armorer Kato Icchu, it is an authentic work grounded in rigorous historical research.

Traditional CraftA masterpiece carrying on a history-backed tradition
This Hina doll bears the official "Dento Mark" for traditional crafts designated by the Minister of International Trade and Industry. The materials and techniques used for the doll's body are all faithful to traditional methods, satisfying the Traditional Crafts Law established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and certified as a traditional craft. Every doll prototype is created by the hands of master craftsman Mataro Kanebayashi. We are particular about using domestic materials, and skilled specialist artisans divide the work, crafting the dolls almost entirely by hand. The body is made of natural paulownia wood and contains no chemical materials such as urethane. Because the body is wood, it resists deformation and fabric shifting, so it can be displayed beautifully for many years. Backed by sure quality refined over 270 years, this profoundly beautiful Hina doll watches over your child's growth the more you gaze upon it.
